Dedication

Christakis Greek Cuisine is dedicated to the loving memory of our mother and friend, Joanne Christakis Wallace. On April 1, 1996, the doors of Christakis opened, fulfilling her lifelong dream, a restaurant that best represented her homeland and the passion she felt towards her culture.

Upon opening, she dedicated it to her father, her own personal hero who died much too young himself. For the next few years Joanne ran the restaurant with her entire heart and soul, loving every moment and every face that came through the door. She had the warmest smile, the most open heart, the loudest clap, the tightest hugs and the most vibrant “Opa” most will ever know.

They are very large shoes to fill, but together, the family at Christakis continues the dream and vision she inspired, creating the authentic spirit and warmth of Greece. May the food and experience speak for itself.

We will forever love and remember you, Yanoula.

And to the Irish eyes that kept us smiling so much of the time.
