Dear Friends,

As I went down to San Diego to celebrate my birthday last week, a had a deep and hollow feeling that things were going to turn for the worse. I have never seen anything quite like this. From empty aisles in the supermarket, to people fighting over Toilet Paper, to the abysmal showing of the stock market, this is a really hard and difficult time in all of our lives. I wish I could sugar coat it and say it’s not that bad, but damn, is sure feels like just a bad bad dream.

But I do believe that together we can get through this. We have to. We’ve been through too much to not find a way. This is definitely new territory for everyone. But I feel that we at Christakis have to rise to the challenge and keep going and keep serving great food with a smile.

We WILL NOT CLOSE OUR DOORS unless mandated so I just wanted to assure each and everyone of you, that we will assuredly be here. To that end we are offering FREE CORKAGE until the end of the month and for those who don’t drink, a FREE TRIO. Limit one Trio, but corkage, is unlimited.

I wish I could give you a funny or charming story about something, but I have to be honest, it’s hard and I feel for everyone in this country and in Europe and china. My message is simply, don’t give up on us. We promise to do everything in our power to get through this, but we need your help too. We need you to you order to go’s or still walk through those doors and it is my hope that you will do so. In times like this, I often ask myself what would my mom do. She overcame so much in her life and always with a smile.

IF I could talk to here right now, she would say “hon” You’ll get through this, but always keep a smile on your face and always be positive. To that end I will do my best and I hope the same for you. We just wanted to let everyone know that we are doing everything we can to provide safe and sanitary food and service to you during these challenging times. We’ve always strive to do so, and will be even more vigilant during the coming weeks

Below are all of the steps we are taking to ensure that everyone enjoys a nice hot meal and friendly service at Christakis.

• Limiting parties to 8 or less.
• Salt & Pepper shaker taken to table on request. (Then sanitized each use)
• Menus sanitized every usage.
• Pens sanitized, etc.
• All forks, knives, spoons, dishes, plates DOUBLE WASHED.
• Hand Sanitizer available upon request.
• Assurances that each and every staff member adheres to all hand washing protocol.
• Offering CURBSIDE TAKE OUT.

Also just to assure you that each and every staff member has a Food Handler Certificate License.

We are also offering as a gesture of your loyalty during these challenging times….
